1. Exporting from Safari
- Open Safari
- Click on File in the menu bar.
- Select Export Browsing Data to File...
- Make sure to have the Bookmarks and Extensions switched ON.
- In the box that appears, choose Desktop to save the exported bookmarks.
- The bookmarks file will be saved as a ZIP file.
- Click Save and use your Touch ID or password to confirm.
- Locate the ZIP file on your desktop and double-click it to unzip it.
2. Exporting from Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome
- Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner
- Navigate to Bookmarks and Lists > Bookmark Manager

- At the top, select the three-dot menu (⋮) > Export Bookmarks.
- In the box that appears, choose Desktop to save the exported bookmarks.
3. Importing to Firefox
- Open Firefox
- In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and then select Preferences.
- In the General panel to the left, click on Import Data under the Import browser data section.
- In the Import Wizard that appears, select Bookmarks from HTML file.
- Look for the two HTML files exported from Chrome and Safari to your Desktop and click Open
- You need to import each file one at a time.
- Click Done to wrap up the import.
- The import process will transfer the following data to Firefox:
- Bookmarks: Web pages you have saved in your bookmarks.
- Extensions: Chrome extensions that match similar Firefox versions.
You Bookmarks Toolbar may be hidden. To show the Bookmarks Toolbar:
- Click the menu button
, click More Tools… and choose Customize Toolbar….
- Click the Toolbars dropdown menu at the bottom of the screen and select Bookmarks Toolbar.
The Bookmarks Toolbar can be set to Always Show, Never Show, or Only Show on New Tab.
- Click Done
