Adding User in Salesforce through Okta temporarily
Some users need to be in Salesforce temporarily so we need to assign the salesforce app as an individual in Okta, We need an end date from User's Manager so license can be freed when not needed. For permanent salesforce license, Role need to be added in AD so Okta assigns accordingly.
Here are quick steps to add user:
1) Login to Okta and go to Admin Portal
2) Search for the username who you need to assign license and select Assign Applications, Type Salesforce and click on Assign
3) Select the user in below categories to assign Temp license. Please make sure to check with Alan and Harman before assigning temp license
Profile URL: DoBC Benefits User
Permission Set: Zoom Set
Public groups: Benefits User
Click Save and Go back to assign the license.
Salesforce will show up in User’s Okta
Please create a schedule ticket for license to be removed from user's account for the end date and let Alan or Harman know about the free license.
