This article will guide you on how to convert the data file (text file) to CSV file.

Open a Blank excel sheet

 

 

Click on Open

 

Browse the location of the file that you wanted to convert to CSV. Select Text files from the drop down list so you can view all the text files.

 

 

 

Choose the file that you wanted to convert to CSV then click on Open. In this example(showing on the screen shot below number 2), I chose the file (20230102-20230201-IndividualDetail-2272464-BRITISH COLUMBIA MEDICAL ASSN) to convert to CSV.

 

 

 

Then this window will prompt you, leave it Default to Delimited and click Next

 

 

Leave it as default check on Tab and click Next

 

 

Leave the General selected and click on Finish

 

 

 

Then the file will load now to your excel sheet, then you have to save it as CSV. Click on File

 

 

 

Choose Save As>Browse

 

 

 

Choose Desktop location to save the file.

 

 

 

 

Click the Save button.
